TurboTenant or RentRedi: which should you choose?
Start with TurboTenant Free when you need a leasing and rent-collection process without a landlord subscription. Compare RentRedi when you prefer a paid plan with unlimited units and one set of management tools. Paying does not automatically make a platform better. Decide which tasks you need, then compare the plan that actually includes them.
For one occupied rental, a free tool may be enough. For several rentals, the important question is whether the tools reduce repeated work: sending invoices, checking payments, responding to repairs and handing records to your bookkeeper.
TurboTenant vs. RentRedi pricing in 2026
| Plan | Subscription for 1–10 units | Billing commitment |
|---|---|---|
| TurboTenant Free | $0 | No paid subscription |
| TurboTenant Essentials | $149/year | Annual payment |
| TurboTenant Pro | $199/year | Annual payment |
| RentRedi annual | $144/year ($12/month equivalent) | Annual payment |
| RentRedi six-month term | $120 every six months ($240 across 12 months) | Semiannual payment |
| RentRedi monthly | $29.95/month ($359.40 over 12 months) | Monthly payment |
The monthly equivalents on TurboTenant's paid plans are annual prices divided by 12, not monthly billing options. Its paid pricing rises by portfolio-size bracket. RentRedi's base subscription covers unlimited units; its billing term changes the price. Separate screening, payment and optional-service fees can still matter.

These are published capabilities, not our test results. Verify the selected plan and any optional charges. The useful comparison is the work removed from your routine, not how many boxes a product can check.
Subscription examples at 1, 5, 10 and 25 units
Annual base subscriptions below exclude taxes, payment charges, screening and optional services. The platforms and tiers include different tools.
| Units | TurboTenant Free | Essentials | Pro | RentRedi annual term |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $0 | $149 | $199 | $144 |
| 5 | $0 | $149 | $199 | $144 |
| 10 | $0 | $149 | $199 | $144 |
| 25 | $0 | $199 | $399 | $144 |
At five units, $144/year equals $2.40 per unit per month; $199/year equals about $3.32. At 25 units, the difference between the $399 Pro subscription and $144 RentRedi annual subscription is $255 per year. A lower subscription price alone does not establish better value.
Scenario: the tenant's cost changes the comparison
TurboTenant's pricing page lists $2 ACH payments for Free/Essentials renters and no ACH fee for Pro renters. Five tenants making one monthly payment each would collectively pay $120 annually at $2 per payment. That is a renter cost, not automatically a landlord expense. Confirm the actual plan and payer before comparing total costs.
Scenario: flexibility versus upfront payment
RentRedi's $29.95 monthly plan totals $359.40 over twelve months, compared with $144 for the annual term: a $215.40 difference. Two six-month terms total $240. These are billing choices, not different feature tiers. TurboTenant's paid plans are charged annually; verify the checkout total and renewal terms.
Test these four steps before moving your tenants
- Application: walk through an applicant invitation and see which documents and charges appear.
- Payment: ask how a returned payment and a payment made outside the platform appear in the ledger.
- Repair: submit a sample request with a photo and check notifications and follow-up.
- Month-end: export a sample property report and confirm it is usable for your records.
These are suggested evaluation steps, not results from our own product testing. Ask how you can run a demonstration without creating a real charge or moving live tenant data.
Common comparison questions
Is RentRedi free?
RentRedi lists paid subscription terms. Its 30-day money-back guarantee is different from a free plan or an unpaid trial.
Does TurboTenant charge per unit?
The free plan has no base subscription. Paid Essentials and Pro prices depend on your portfolio-size bracket, so compare your current unit count and your next growth step.
Which is better for a small landlord?
TurboTenant Free is a reasonable first comparison when you mainly need applications and rent collection. RentRedi is worth comparing when you want a flat paid subscription as the portfolio grows. Choose based on the workflow and total cost, rather than the number of features in a marketing list.

Sources and review method
This is a research-based comparison, not a claim of hands-on product testing. Pricing, feature descriptions and unit brackets checked October 19, 2026. The TurboTenant Help Center lists annual totals that do not exactly match every rounded monthly figure on its marketing page; the scenarios use the explicit annual table. Confirm the current plan, fees and renewal terms before buying.
